FIN-FYFA – Erasmus+ Sport Project

The project FIN-FYFA – Financial Foundations for Young Female Athletes is co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Sport Programme.

The project aims to strengthen the financial literacy and life skills of young female athletes, addressing the challenges they face in managing financial resources during and after their sports careers. By combining education, sport, and social inclusion, FIN-FYFA contributes to promoting gender equality, empowerment, and sustainable career development in sport.

Through innovative educational approaches, interactive training activities, and international cooperation, the project will provide young female athletes with knowledge and practical tools for:

  • responsible financial management,
  • long-term financial planning,
  • understanding sponsorships and income sources,
  • preparing for career transitions beyond sport.

FIN-FYFA is implemented by a transnational partnership from Italy, Portugal, and North Macedonia, fostering cooperation between sports organisations, educational institutions, and civil society actors.

The project reflects the core values of the European Union by promoting inclusion, equal opportunities, and active participation of young women in sport and society.
